When you establish a Bash account, use our mobile application or visit our website, we may collect certain information from you. This Privacy Policy describes the types of information we collect when you use the Bash website, mobile application and/or related services (collectively, our "Services") and our practices for using, maintaining, protecting and disclosing that information.

Other third parties, including without limitation, such venues at which you make reservations through our Sites, and social networks that you use in connection with our Sites, may also collect, use, and share information about you. What Information Do We Collect?

We collect information about you in various ways when you use our Sites. We use this information to, among other things, provide the functionality and improve the quality of our Sites and personalize your experience. For example: survey responses, demographics, primary dining city, current and prior reservation details, favorite venues, special venue requests, passwords, contact information of people you add to, or notify of, your venue reservations through our Sites, and other information you provide on our Sites. If you use our mobile application, either to make reservations or to pay a venue, we may also collect your mobile device ID, your precise location data, and the venue search locations you select. For certain services on our Sites, credit or debit card account information are required. We may also obtain information from other sources, such as third-party websites, applications, and services (each, a “Third-Party Platform”), through which you connect with our Sites and combine that with information we collect on our Sites.

Information You Provide to Us

The information we collect on or through our Services may include:

  • Information you provide when you register to use the Services. This information may include your name (if available), username, email address, gender and date of birth. If you sign in to the Services from your Facebook or Google Plus account, you authorize us to access certain Facebook account information, such as your public Facebook profile, your email address and other information, including personal information, provided by Facebook or Google.
  • Information you provide to respond to a survey.
  • Records and copies of your correspondence, including email address, if you contact us.
  • Details of transactions you carry out through our Services.

If you register for our Services, you may also provide information to be transmitted to other users of the Services or third parties via instant messages and other collaboration tools, or published or displayed on public areas of the Bash mobile application or website (e.g., as part of messages or posted on Venue pages) (collectively, "User Content"). Your User Content is posted via our Services and transmitted to others at your own risk. Although we take reasonable steps to protect your personal information, please be aware that no security measures are perfect or impenetrable. Additionally, we cannot control the actions of other users of the Services and visitors to your landing pages with whom you may choose to share your User Content and enter into transactions. Therefore, we cannot and do not guarantee that your User Content will not be viewed by unauthorized persons.

Information We Collect Automatically

As you navigate through and interact with our Services, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your mobile device, other equipment, browsing actions and usage patterns, including the following:

  • Details of your visits to our Services, including the resources that you access and use on the Services.
  • When you access and use the App, we may automatically collect certain details, including traffic data, location data, logs and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on or through the App.
  • We may collect information about your mobile device and internet connection, including the device's unique device identifier, operating system, browser type, mobile network information and the device's telephone number.
  • The App also may access metadata and other information associated with other files stored on your device. This may include, for example, photographs, audio and video clips, personal contacts and address book information.
  • When you visit the Bash website, Information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system and browser type.
  • Location information, if you have authorized us to do so.

We also may use these technologies to collect information about your online activities over time and across third-party websites or other online services (behavioral tracking). The information we collect automatically is statistical data and does not include personal information. This data helps us to improve our Services and to deliver better and more personalized features to you, including by enabling us to:

  • Estimate our audience size and usage patterns.
  • Store information about your preferences, allowing us to customize our Services according to your individual interests.
  • Speed up your searches.
  • Administer a contest, promotion, survey or other feature of our mobile application or website.
  • Recognize you when you return to our Services.

When you visit the Bash website, the technologies we use for this automatic data may include cookies. A cookie is a small file placed on the hard drive of your computer. When you use the App or its content, certain third parties may use automatic information collection technologies to collect information about you or your device. These third parties may use tracking technologies to collect information about you. The information they collect may be associated with your personal information or they may collect information, including personal information, about your online activities over time and across different websites, apps and other online services. They may use this information to provide you with interest-based (behavioral) advertising or other targeted content. Children Under the Age of 13

Our Services are not intended for children under 13 years of age. No one under age 13 may provide any personal information to us or register for our Services. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, do not register for the Services, use any of the interactive or public comment features of our Services or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any screen name or user name you may use.   • Understand you and your preferences to enhance, personalize, and customize your experience and enjoyment using our Sites, products, and services, such as understanding your dining history to make recommendations about other venues you may like;

  • Communicate with you about contests, offers, promotions, rewards, upcoming events, and other news about products and services offered by Bash Network, our subsidiaries, and affiliates; select venues; and our other selected partners;
  • Authenticate your credit or debit card account information; and protect, investigate, and deter against fraudulent, unauthorized, or illegal activity. By providing your mobile phone number, you expressly consent to receive direct dial calls, autodialed and prerecorded message calls, and text messages from us relating to our product and services at that number.
  • Link or combine with other personal information we get from third parties to help understand your needs and provide you with better service;
  • To notify you about changes to our Services or any products or services we offer or provide through it.
  • To allow you and other users to participate in interactive features on our Services.

Information Shared with Venues.

When you make a venue reservation through our Sites, your information is provided to us and to the venues with whom you choose to reserve tables at. In order to facilitate your reservation, your information is provided to that venue, just as it would if you made a reservation by calling the venue, emailing the venue, or using the venue’s website. If you provide a mobile phone number, venues may send you text messages regarding your reservation. When you make a venue reservation through our Sites and make a payment to a venue through our Sites, we may also share with the venues additional information, such as information about your dining preferences and history or information that we collect via Third-Party Platforms. You also have the option of indicating special preferences or providing comments about your reservation that Bash Network will pass on to that venue. We may share with venues summary reports of feedback from users. Information you choose to share with a venue when you make a reservation and/or pay a venue through our Sites may be used by the venue for its own purposes. Bash Network does not control the privacy practices of venues. Please contact the venue directly if you want to learn about its privacy practices.

Payment Card Information.

To use certain services on our Sites, we require credit or debit card account information. By submitting your credit or debit card account information through our Sites, you expressly consent to the sharing of your information with venues, third-party payment processors, and other third-party service providers (including but not limited to vendors who provide fraud detection services to us and other third parties), and you further agree to the following terms.

  1. When you use a credit or debit card to secure a reservation through our Sites, we provide your non-sensitive credit or debit card account information (including card type, last four digits of the card and expiration date, but excluding the CVV number) to the applicable venue for verification and authentication purposes.
  2. When you initially provide your credit or debit card account information through our Sites in order to use our venue payment services, we provide your credit or debit card account information to our third-party payment service providers. As explained in the Bash Network Terms of Use, these third parties may store your credit or debit card account information so you can use our venue payment services through our Sites in the future.
  3. Our merchant account returns non-sensitive card information in the response to a charge request. This includes the card type, the last four digits of the card, and the expiration date. This information is subject to PCI compliance using TLS protocols.

Sharing with Others

We may share your credit or debit card account information with third parties as described in the section called “Payment Card Information” above.

SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION To be clear, Bash Network does not itself store your credit or debit card account information, and we do not have direct control over or responsibility for your credit or debit card account information. Our contracts with third parties that receive your credit or debit card account information require them to keep it secure and confidential.

Other than as described above, we will never provide your information to anyone for any purpose under any circumstances.

Please be aware that, as a user of the Services, your Bash profile will be viewable by other users of the Service. Other users will be able to view information you have provided to us. Furthermore, if you accept to chat with a person, that person will see the content of your chat.

What Are My Rights as a California Resident?

    We do not control third parties' collection or use of your information to serve interest-based advertising. However, these third parties may provide you with ways to choose not to have your information collected or used in this way. How Can You Access and Correct Your Information?

Some of your information you can change directly in the Services. You may send us an e-mail at to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete all of your personal information except by also deleting your user account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect.

If you delete your User Content from the Services, copies of your User Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages, or might have been copied or stored by other Services users (including Venue pages, chats, etc.). We are not responsible or liable for the removal or deletion of (or failure to remove or delete) any of your User Content, including any content included in your landing pages. Access to and use of information provided via the Services, including User Content, is governed by our Terms of Service.

How Is Your Information Kept Secure?

We have implemented reasonable measures designed to secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration and disclosure. All information you provide to us is stored on our secure servers behind firewalls.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. We urge you to be careful about giving out information in public areas of the Services like the message boards or forums or in transactions with Bash members. The information you share in public areas may be viewed by any user of the Services.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via mobile platforms and the internet is not completely secure. Although we do our best to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee the security of your personal information transmitted to our Services. Any transmission of personal information is at your own risk. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Services.
